Historic Redesign Highlights Iconic Playhouse

The historic 110-year-old Ojai Playhouse, a beloved movie theater that has sat dark for the past decade, is making its return thanks to music industry impresario David Berger and his architectural firm on the project, Kupiak Architects.

For this project, LINX Lighting + Controls collaborated with Ann Kale & Associates, a renowned lighting design firm, utilizing Acolyte Lighting

to achieve a visually stunning atmosphere and sophisticated cinematic experience.

The Playhouse is now a state-of-the-art theater, featuring Dolby Atmos surround sound, a Simplex 35mm reel-to-reel system, Bartco 4K digital projection, and custom quadratic diffusers illuminated by Acolyte RGB-W custom panels.

Restoring the venue to its former glory, LINX Lighting + Controls has helped revive a cherished cultural landmark, bringing the Ojai Playhouse back to the heart of the community.
